The MLTA Public Service Committee Fall Campaign

The MLTA Public Service Committee conducted its fall campaign alongside the MLTA Fall Education Seminar in Novi.

Attendees generously contributed hygiene products, sheets, blankets, and monetary donations, among other items, to the VOA (Volunteers of America).

Alex Wuerfel, Chair of the MLTA Public Service Committee, stated, “Our members are among the most generous individuals. We were able to make a substantial donation of both products and funds to the VOA of Michigan. The VOA has been serving families, seniors, and veterans in Michigan for nearly 130 years. For veterans, the VOA’s primary goal is to assist those who are unhoused in finding safe, stable, and permanent housing, as well as providing resources to address mental health, substance abuse, and other challenges. The VOA also ensures they have access to nutritious food every day. Our members truly showed their giving hearts”.
